Basic
information
Six kilometres from Ramnagar, Kyari
is a charming village set in the Kumaon
foothills, fringing on the pristine
forest of the Corbett periphery, H&H
campsite is situated in a small forest
on the edge of the village next to a
stream.
At Kyari, we promise you an experience
far beyond the typical Corbett holiday.
Here you can feel the forest beneath
your feet, towering over your head.
Wander anywhere into the wilderness,
down the stream into the spectacular
sunsets or up it for river crossing.
Climb a hill, explore the caves, and
run into flocks of birds. Or just lie
back in the bullock cart on the winding
path to a picnic deep in the jungle.

ACTIVITIES
At
Corbertt Camp, your day can be full of
action or you may choose to snooze on
the hammock, lie on a haystack or sunbathe
alongside the stream all day. For the
adventure lovers there are many activities
like jungle and riverside treks, rappelling
down the mountainside, river crossing
on a tyrolene traverse, mountain bicycling,
bird watching, and body surfing down
canals. Volleyball, rope swings, bonfires
and camp games complete the jungle experience.
To add a village flavour, we organize
tractor rides, or lunch in a village
home.
Qualified and experienced professional
instructors are there to conduct all
adventure activities and we provide
complete and up-dated field equipment.
Each programme is detailed and meticulously
executed ensuring complete safety for
all participants.

LOGISTICS
Accommodation
Twin/Triple sharing basis in Mud Huts
with mats and sleeping bags ensure a
comfortable stay in the wilderness.
Hygienic toilet tents with w/c and running
water flushes are also provided. Hammocks,
swings, driftwood and campfire stools
blending with the natural environment
are interspersed at the campsite. Maintaining
the natural jungle environment no electricity
is used at the camp. Kerosene/solar
lanterns are used to light the camp
adequately during the night.
Food:
The camp kitchen provides wholesome
and fresh Indian and Continental cuisine
along-with local delicacies. Tea/coffee/juices
are served at regular intervals. Clean,
filtered water is brought to the camp
from the neighboring village.
Getting there
By Train: There is an overnight train
from the Old Delhi Railway Station (Ranikhet
Express), which leaves Old Delhi at
10:40 pm and arrives Ramnagar at 5:00
am from where Jeeps can be hired to
go to Camp . Return is likewise
in an overnight train reaching Delhi
at 4.30 am.
By Road: Camp is 8 km from Ramnagar
(250 km from Delhi - 6hrs). From Ramnagar
cross the Kosi Barrage to go on to the
Ramnagar-Kaladungi highway. After 2
km at the forest check post in Belgad,
turn left into a kutcha road, which
leads to the Village Kyari alongside
the 'Daabka' river (6 km). Only Jeeps/Sumos,
tractors and larger vehicles can access
this forest road.
Weather
& clothing
Camp is open from October to March.
The days are pleasant and sunny which
makes it perfect to splash in water
while the nights are fresh and chilly.
Functional and comfortable clothing
with adequate winter wear, walking shoes,
strap-on sandals, a torch and swimwear
are essential to maximize your camping
experience.
PS: Keeping in view the delicate eco-system
around, playing music systems is not
allowed at the camps.
